That is a good question! Why use ActiveX on a web site? Why support the 
_worst_ of IE's "features"?

I believe AOL and Netscape are more interested in promoting their own 
email/portal alternatives.

It sure does help making the text unreadable! How do you know that the 
intended audience have your "appealing" fonts installed on their systems?

Err, yes, in fact it means precisely that AOL can force Netscape to put in 
unwanted stuff by default such as that. Use Mozilla if that bothers you.
