Specifically, in 2K, it's in >"C:\Documents and Settings\[profile name]\Application >Data\Mozilla\Profiles\[profile name]\mbd4cn0z.slt\" Every multi-user OS must have the capability for different users (i.e., different login names) to store settings independently for each of the users. Even in Win9x, if you have your system set up to use independent settings for each different username, you will get a Profiles folder under your Windows folder where settings for the different login names will be stored. When there are no profiles (on Win9x), Mozilla creates a folder under Windows for the user settings, including your cache, cookies, plugins, etc. I hate this, of course, since I want absolutely no application data on my OS volume. I keep my C: drive for Windows, hardware support and my swap file. IE allows me to set the location of my browser cache, and this is the one thing I would like to be able to do (I'd put it in my %TEMP% folder, which is on the 20GB volume, instead of the 1GB volume where Windows is installed!). It would be nice to be able to manually assign the location of the temporary files, simply because they take up a helluva lot of room and there may be limited space on the OS volume. -- David W.
