ok :-) My curiosity got the better of me :o)

:) It's hardly a serious one, and one many, I'd guess, could correct
after reading some docs.

Yes, yes. At some point, when someone gets around to it.

I've never found out what it does actually.

Certainly, that was sort of my point.

Monty Python fan there? ;-)

You want lynx then :-) Seriously, those UI guidelines is satisfied by a
command prompt... you're advocating flexibility to the max. This has a
price though; personally I think mozilla does a fair job af balancing
the flexibility versus usabilty. E.g., I'd use a "New Tab" or even "New
Window" buttom in the toolbar. But I still havn't got a clue to why
anyone want to have just one page as a "home page". Sure, google.com is
my home page, but usually I just type "g <query>" rather than actually
going to google's front page.

Intuitiveness would IMHO place home in bookmarks or a similar place.

I cannot get my father to install another program on his computer -- so
mozilla is not an option for him. I think that we can safely assume that
mozilla users are capable of at least installing programs ;-)

Anyways, I don't care much one way or another, got plenty of space
myself :o)
