There was no confirmation that I was aware of.  I don't think you
understood what I wrote.

What do you mean by a feed?

It feeds those who use it.  Others can use their own Usenet server.
Like I wrote, the secnews server doesn't appear to have a critical
role in the netscape.public.* groups.

Not that it matters.
