There is no such preference for the viewer, IIRC.

This one is IMO a valid concern.

As I mentioned shortly already, you could limit the width of paragraphs 
with CSS, too. Dunno which CSS property this would be, but you saw the 
selectors which you can use. I'm sure, you could get things together so 
it does what you want.

Well, that's unrelated to format=flowed :). However, you can avoid that, 
too. See bug 18427. (Remember the added "moz-".)
