That's what I thought of, too.

Yes, the way the prefs UI is implemented, it is an ugly hack and would 
never have made it into the product, if hyatt didn't write it.

Long-term should be something like drag&drop of toolbar buttons / menu 
items and/or a customize dialog like MS uses.
