On the View->Text Size menu the accelerator keys are shown as:

Smaller Ctrl+-
Larger  Ctrl++

but Ctrl++ doesn't work. I was finding this to be a PITA so I set about
trying to fix it, and succeeded (I think).

Searching Bugzilla for a Bug report to post the patch to I found 76792
which included the following exchange:

also, it should be "ctrl +" and not "ctrl =", maybe we are missing a
"shift" modifier somewhere?

No, accel = was chosen because the user will press accel = when they see
accel + (for all those keyboards where the + is over the =), not shift
accel =. But since some of our users try to be smart, they'll actually
press shift accel = so that keybinding was added too.

I guess that I'm one of "our users try to be smart" but the last line
says that Ctrl++ was added too - but it isn't.

My question is; should Ctrl++ (or Ctrl+Shift+= if you prefer) work or is
Ctrl+= the correct "official" accelerator key? If the latter is the case
why isn't the menu text changed to Ctrl+=?

Finally, do you want my patch?

Regards,

Parish.
