failure while connecting to mailserver

hi,
since I updated Mozilla (right now to the most recent version
200202203) the program is not able to connect to my mailserver (IMAP)
and to 2 of my 3 pop-accounts.
 so one mailaccount works perfect all the time. 
unfortunatly also the connection to the newsserver is dead (with no
error message or chrash - just nothing happens)
any suggestions for this strange behaviour?
