are screwed.
Try right-clicking on the folder name in the tree and select "Compact
This Folder", then try deleting the mail again.
If that fails exit Mozilla completely including the Quick Start icon in
the system tray), in Explorer go to your mail folder and delete
Inbox.msf (*don't* delete Inbox itself!), restart Mozilla and try again.
The index will be rebuilt.
