One thing that can screw mailboxes is lines in a message that start with 
"From". This is seen as the start of a new message. Normally Moz inserts 
a leading SPACE in such cases (other mailers put a ">" in front - even 
if it isn't quoted text).

Check the mails that appear either side of the problem one (with 
messages sorted by date) and see if the look OK. Also look at the source 
for the problem message and those either side; do the headers look OK?
