2 things to do for you: - if you want to use Mozilla 1.2a, then the spellchecker is not working with it, and you have to wait; - if you want to use the spellchecker, you have to uninstall Mozilla 1.2a and install Mozilla 1.1, then go to http://www.mozdev.org/ go in the spellchecker page and download it. After you downloaded it, close completely Mozilla (even the quicklaunch icon), restart it, and your spellchecker should work. Good luck ;-)
