As in Wayne's experience, the mozdev spellchecker seemed to install successfully; however, there was no spell check icon or option listed in preferences.
However, and this is the interesting bit, when I installed the Netscape 7 spell checker, I do get the icon, and the preferences option to turn it on. However, it fails to fire up when requested.
