That did not help. When I renamed Java11, the Java support in
Communicator 4.6 stopped working; and Mozilla still did not have Java
support (Tools/Java console still greyed out).

I'm willing to try. How do I make it the default VM once installed ?

Where do I get that browser ?

I don't have any such file on my system. There is an NPJAVA.DLL that was
copied to my Communicator PLUGINS subdirectory. I tried copying that to
the Warpzilla installation. It shows in "about / plug-ins" but otherwise
does not enable Java. Where do I get NPOJI6.DLL ?
FYI, the Java 1.3 distribution I'm using is from Devcon and the latest
files on it are dated 11/13/2000. I'm not sure if that is the latest and
the Devcon site is very slow to post updates.
