I just installed the JRE 1.3 (not the full JDK 1.3). I left the JDK
1.1.8 as my default JRE.
I also installed Warpzilla 0.9.2 . How do I get Java to work in it ? I
understand that it will only work with 1.3, but right now all the
applets complain that my browser does not support Java. I hava Java
enabled in preferences/advanced.
One example of applet failure is http://www.aol.com/aim/aimexpress.html
. The applet works fine under communicator 4.6.1 but I get the following
when running under warpzilla.
"Sorry, you must either be using an old browser that doesn't support
Java, or you have Java support turned off. You must be running at least
Netscape 4.7.2 or Internet Explorer 4.5. If you are running new versions
of Netscape or IE, and the AIM Express still doesn't show up, making
sure you have Java turned on, quit and restart your browser and reload
this page. "
I assume there is something I need to configure to get this to work.
FYI, my communicator 4.6.1 seems to be running with java 1.1.8, not 1.3
. At least that's what I see when I bring up the java console in it.
What's the trick to get that one to use 1.3 also ?
