Thanks for figuring it out, Ralph. I was about to post the following
when I got your message, and am appending it here just in case someone
else hits a more exotic launch failure:

I've put a verbose version of mozilla.exe online at

http://www.axess.com/users/sobotka/warpzilla/binaries/launch_debugger.zip

for those of you just getting the splashscreen and fizzle. To use it,
stash your original mozilla.exe in a safe place and put the one from the
zip into bin. Then run "mozilla > mozout 2>&1" and post mozout here or
email it to me. This will indicate at what stage the launch is failing
and make it easier to figure out what's wrong.
