Mozilla_Home

It's been suggested that I set Mozilla_Home to a location other than
the installed directory to facilitate updating without messing up
profile information.  Since I have already installed, is there a
process to move the relevant files/directories to a new Mozilla_Home,
or must I start from scratch?  If I can move them. which
files/directories need to be moved?
