None of the code should be doing anything too funky, it's just mucked
around C code. Not any asm or anything..

Yeah. A little bit of tweaking in the fft and energy calculations did
this, but I'm not entirely sure why. No perceptual difference though,
afaict. (but my ears are pretty ordinary)
