Not much. Its hard to get command line stuff working, so I added in some
stuff from an older layer2 experiment which deals with the setup.
Encoding seems to have gone fine without any changes.

Yes, its a 180MHz machine PPC 604e.
Even the bog-standard ISO Layer II code runs at about this speed (I know
layer3 is more complex). I was under the impression that LAME was optimized.
Please clarify how LAME should perform compared to the std layer II ISO code.
