3D now and SSE are fine, but why not some MMX code? A lot more people
got mmx processors. Are 3D Now and SSE really faster than MMX?

Thus Lame would be the first encoder able to produce mixed blocks

presets from a file.
Does anyone think that it's usefull or useless?
Question: how do you find the time to do all this work on Lame?
