Since you normally only record one instrument per track on the MD recorders, I'd 
expect it to be "easier" to compress.
By the way, does that mean Sony players can't play Minidiscs recorded in standard 
two-track on Yamaha MDx machines? Guess I'll have to take a MD recorded on the Yamaha 
& test it at an electronics shop.
