I think it is too. I'm disappointed with about current MP3 decoders scene.
Almost all people are interested in the cool display (or skin support),
or the Internet support. Seems no improvement about sound quality.

I made a "--noscfsi" option for some buggy decoder, but Mark deleted :)
maybe his policy of LAME is challenging to the ISO limitation and
he think we can neglect such buggy decoder.
