I have examples where this is not true.
I have files that I encoded over and over again. Changing the -V option
each time I did it. From V1 to V4 incrementally. The filesizes were
all the same in the end! What's up with that?

Okay, so first of all, all I got to say is LOST THE SOURCE CODE?!
That's just plain stupid.
2nd, so why do I have to chose a bitrate? And again which command line
option will it use? (-b or -B)?
It doesn't make sense.
I suppose it all works with CBR. Is that what you use?
VBR is the only way to go these days...

I've only been putting one song per batch. Still doesn't work.

Exactly! But WAIT! There's nothing else TO use for Lame!
Guess I'll have to make one myself. Which I can say I honestly have been
tempted to do. All it would take is a few hours to come up with something
better than lamebatch.
