there is no need to do that! You already have
the BEST frontend for LAME, your DOS BOX!

just type:
        lame -V0 mywave.wav mymp3.mp3
or
        lame -v --preset cd mywave.wav mymp3.mp3

see for all options:
        lame --longhelp | more

see for included presets:
        lame --preset help

Recent versions of Lame have a batch file lame.bat
included, which you could adapt to your needs too!
Then put it on your desktop and drop some wave
files on it.
