Does this mean that I should re-encode everything I've done
"--alt-preset fast standard" (no other swithches) with
3.93?  I sure hope not because that's about everything I
own, over 500 CD's.

Looking at the history at:

  http://lame.sourceforge.net/history.html

I would expect that there might only be a problem with
abr/cbr and -q0.  Can anyone speak to this in some detail?  

It would really be nice if the history log were a bit more
expansive and informational.
