I'll jump in on the issue...

Since the issue came to the forefront in 1997, I have consistently and actively 
opposed any public subsidy for a professional sports stadium.  There is no financial 
benefit to cities footing the bill and few if any other benefits.  When there are far 
more pressing concerns in the city, we do not need to be spending scarce dollars 
making immensely wealthy individuals and entities more so.

As a Council Member, I will continue my steadfast opposition to public subsidies for 
professional sports stadiums.  Herein lies one big difference of opinion between my 
opponent and me.
