This is inaccurate. I was at the Green Central Weed & Seed table from the
beginning. Sandra Miller came into the picture later at the request of
Councilman Herron. Her husband was hired as Coordinator of the site and she
sat on the steering committee. At the same time she and some neighbors
created an independent non-profit safe haven and applied to the steering
committee for a contract to teach computer skills after school to teens and
youth. As part of that contract, the federal justice department bought
thousands of dollars in computers, scanners, digital cameras--the whole
works--and housed them in Green Central School where her husband also had a
job in some capacity. The school, however, did not have the open hours to fit
the federal criteria. When the contract was up, it was not renewed. The
steering committee sent Sandra Miller a letter several months ago requesting
that she return the equipment which belonged to the feds. We have not heard
from her about the equipment as of today's date. She and her husband left the
committee after the contract was not renewed.Wizard Marks
