I agree that the Newspaper of the Twin Cities dropped tha ball when they failed to report on the Green Party endorsements for Park Board races. An interesting sidebar to this "dropping the ball" theme: On Saturday, April 7th, immediately following the Mpls.-5th District Green Party's endorsing meeting, Holle Brian, Chair, sent out a press release on the meeting's results. Which, by the way, included endorsement of Mark Knapp for City Council-Ward 10, not just Park Board races in Districts 3 and 6. In addition, an e-mail message which included phone numbers and e-addresses was sent within 48 hours to Rochelle Olson, 'Strib city hall beat reporter. While a reply e-mail message was received from Rochelle asking for clarification. For the second time she was referred to the Mpls.-5th District GP Chair, Holle Brian, FFI. My understanding after talking with Holle is that she was never contacted by Rochelle. Again, in addition, the contents of the 4/7 GP press release were also posted on this listserv, Minneapolis Issues.
