Mr. Brauer-
I'm surprised at you! Are the rules of journalistic integrity not in play
when posting on an issues list?
I am sure Mark Stenglein can defend himself, but I have to call you to task
for stretching two political contributions into a pronouncement of Mr.
Stenglein's political compass. If you had a state equivalent list to check,
you'd certainly find a high number of moderate and independent candidates
that have been supported by Mr. Stenglein, but to take two isolated
contributions and draw direct conclusions to Rod Grams, Tad Jude and Gary
Revier is a bit much.
As an moderate/independent, I was supported by Mark in both my campaigns for
City Council. I am pro-choice, pro gay & lesbian marriage, pro-environment.
I happen to be a fiscal conservative. I have hosted fundraisers for other
moderate candidates with similar political dispositions, in which Mark
Stenglein has been a contributor. I have also written checks for Rudy
Boschwitz, Mark Kennedy, and Peter Bell. Does that make me a troglodyte?
How about my checks for Lisa Goodman, Barbara Johnson, Rebecca Yanisch or
Ann Berget? Am I now a nut-case liberal?
In short, your race to conclusion omits a plethora of data and draws an
erroneous conclusion on the weight of limited information.
Congratulations on finding your new web toy @ www.tray.com, but pray tell,
what conclusions can be made from data you have not researched?
I'm a bit disappointed to say the least!
