In defense of Zack Metoyer in this incidence, I sat on
a sub-committee along with a few others which included
Judy Paul, Karen Forbes, Pauline Thomas, etc.

We were asked by the Business Committee to come up
with draft guidelines for RFP to access those funds.
The night before we met, a select few of the CNIA
Board members, which PRE-DATED the election of the
BLUE Crew, with then ED Jana Metge, put together a
document that stated that we were not eligible to
recieve funds because we were working on the draft
document, and they wanted the sub-committee to sign
it.

Needless to say we were all quite FURIOUS at the
audacity of the request, and none of us signed the
document. It was done, in a lot of our opinions, to
escalate some of the already bitter feelings amongst
the then board members.

None of us felt this to be fair, to exclude us simply
because we took on a task no one else did. Once
whatever RFP document was approved by the community,
as members of the community, we felt entitled to be
able to apply in the same manner as the rest of the
community and take our chances. As long as we
observed the conflict of interest clause in the
bylaws, we were perfectly within our rights.

I cannot speak for whatever else may have happened out
of my presence, but that little insinuation by Mr.
Piehl in regards to the conflict of interest needs to
be put to rest NOW.
