With regards to the fact that testimonials praising
Urban Ventures came from UV employees, Wizard Marks
writes:
You are correct, However, most of us can also say that
at least one job we have had over our lifetimes has
changed our lives. snip The people who make that
claim in the UV film are speaking their hearts.

David Piehl writes:

They may be, but a handful of employees is not
representative of all the people UV claims to have
helped - where are those who have moved on? Are they
as bitter about Urban Ventures the guy who started the
Center for Fathering (can't recall the name at the
moment) who sued them? What else would an employee
say about their employer on an employer produced
video?
Hardly convincing!!

David Piehl writes:
It would be great if the claims are as stated, but if
the only success stories are the handful of people
working for UV, then "Houston, we have a problem"!

David Piehl writes -
It's not a suprise, especially from Art Erickson who
has 25 years of history of doing this in Minneapolis.
I wonder if Ralph Bruins became so "religious" before
or after his time in prison for financial fraud.

David Piehl writes:

Hmmm - it was Urban Ventures, not Central Church after
all. The organizational distinction is difficult
because it's essentially the same people involved in
both organizations, housed in the same facility. I
was unaware that they oppose interracial marriage,
though.
