I've just assumed that "Wedge" referred to the shape of the area formed by
Lyndale and Hennepin Avenues north of Lake Street.  The Wedge Coop was
originally on Franklin Avenue near the point.

Bancroft neighborhood--named for Bancroft school, I believe.
