Oops, sorry, should have been more precise. I wasn't saying the north side lacks trails - indeed, I have biked the Wirth-Victory dogleg with my family and loved it. However, Wirth only works if you want to skim the western border of the north side. I needed to get through the middle of town, on the "eastern" border. My point *should have been* that the Kenilworth trail needs a connection to the north/northeast side. Right now, Kenilworth dead-ends at the Rapid Park site Downtown where the Twins stadium *won't* be built...forcing you to cut through busy Downtown streets or drift confusingly around the spaghetti junction of highway exits around Target Center and the big TAD ramps. One other thing: Midtown has excellent signage, but there needs to be one more. If you exit from Midtown to Kenilworth, there's a distance marker that shows how far away one is from the other. However, there needs to be a small map. The exit dumps out at Dean Parkway and ignorant cyclers will have no idea you have to get to yonder train tracks over the hill and to the right to pick up Kenilworth. These are quibbles. The trail system is rapidly improving and thanks to all who have put time into it.
