I disagree that the best solution right now is to allow dogs off-leash only down below at the river bottoms.  There are children that accompany their parents and their dogs, and we don't put children on leashes.  It is dangerous not only for the dogs, but also for the children, and even the adults who could lose their footing.  There is nothing preventing anyone from falling over that cliff, it is very dangerous.

As I wrote to Eduardo in an offline message, when we used to take our dog there, I was always afraid of that cliff, and I was most afraid for our 8 year old daughter.  I always clutched her hand very tightly.  But as anyone with young children knows, kids love to explore and love challenges.  The cliff is very tempting to children and dogs.  By the way, I have also seen older kids riding their dirt bikes down the trail next to the cliff.  I don't think leash rules are going to make this area safer.

This is a wonderful dog park, let's not let one dangerous area ruin it.  Please support getting safety fencing put in along the cliff, before another life is lost.
