Thank you each and every one of you for the heartfelt condolences and support we have received in regards to the loss of our dog, Raj, at the Minnehaha Off-Leash Park last Saturday. Friends and strangers alike have disclosed that they have lost pets, had their pets seriously injured due to the cliff which exist within the off-leash park boundaries. We are comforted and hopeful that so many others understand our loss. Who would want to endure such a tragedy?
Annie Young, John Erwin, and Jon Olson (Park Board Commissioners) have all been contacted and all agree that something needs to be done about this. Signage works fine for humans but not for dogs. Erecting signage AND safety fencing at this point is the only option I see to substantially eliminate such dangers that exist within our beloved parks. Eduardo Parra & Mark Bautch Cleveland, N.
