[T Brown] I spent a couple of months working in downtown Denver last year. Denver has the 14th Street Mall which except that it is lacking much of the Nicollet Mall activity. They have some outdoor eating places, food carts and places to sit. The Denver 14th Street Mall is abit over a mile long, busses (and lrt) run on parallel and cross streets. The only bus "route" on the mall is a natural gas powered shuttle bus that runs every few minutes. Even better, its free!! Nicollet Mall would be even more vibrant than it is today without vehicle traffic (get rid of the cabs and messenger vehicles too ... and get them out of the bus lanes on the other streets). Its an improvement that would be easy to make and there would be very minimal costs. Terrell Brown Loring Park terrell at terrellbrown dot org
