Wait a consarned minute here. There has been a mitigation task force meeting for the last three years and they have considered every alternate plan, kept the neighborhood informed and, in general, gone out of their way to be sensative to everyone's concerns. Recently, a small sub-group, some members of which sat in on these meetings all along, has decided they want to stall any solutions and have formed a sub-group. I'm getting mighty tired of these last minute louies who, when it comes down to the vote, suddenly don't like the outcome of the vote and form a "concerned citizens" group. That's bogus. This isn't about neighborhood concerns, this is about a few people who didn't like the solution voted on by the group. One of their tactics is to cast slurs on elected officials who don't agree with their personal objections to the project. Mind you, not one of these folks has even tried to hear what the neighborhoods surrounding the area want. When he served on the committee, David Piehl didn't even report back to the neighborhood group which appointed him to serve. When he did give reports, they were not reports, but his personal slant. This whole issue has been through a process, a long process. The community was kept in the loop throughout. WizardMarks, Central
