Here is the framework for ENUFF (Every Neighbor United for Friendly Freeways). Folks interested in participating can send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
1) ENUFF (Every Neighbor United for Friendly Freeways) is meant to be a forum for folks living near urban freeways. Near does not mean next to them, or a block from them, just a broadly defined "near". 2) ENUFF is about stakeholder in-put, but does not believe that the citizen participation model created by the PAC for the I-35W and Lake Street access is efficient or desirable. A four year committment for volunteers (while staff is paid) is excessive and unrealistic. The ENUFF model is to gather stake-holder in-put, organize it into actionable outcomes, and expect our state agencies to translate this into realistic proposals that satisfy to some degree both the transportation requirements and the livability impacts of freeways. 3) ENUFF Members seek to mitigate existing livability problems created by the freeway, and to prevent the creation of additional, future problems where possible. 4) ENUFF considers noise, traffic volume, traffic intrusiveness in residential areas, pollution, and aesthetics to be primary concerns. 5) ENUFF favors mass transit systems that can move large numbers of people more efficiently, and does not neccesarily believe "bigger is better" when applied to Freeways. --- Dave Jensen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dave, > > Would you please post the mission or goal of this > group so that folks can know what we're signing up > for? > > Regards, > Dave J > > --- Dave Piehl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > A group of residents concerned about mitigating > > potential negative affects of I35W changes and > > existing conditions is beginning to form.
