The Park Board may override the veto. I think it requires a 2/3rds vote. If memory serves, the Park Board has a tradition of proving its independence by always voting to override a Mayor's veto, even if the initial measure did not pass by the required 2/3rds. Is there an example of a mayoral veto which was sustained by the Park Board? I can't think of one.
