While the no-contraction deal is good for Minnesota fans, it merely means that threat will become the ol' reliable: relocation. Look for stories soon about how Carl Pohlad, unable to find a local buyer or a new stadium, is talking to Washington, D.C. or Las Vegas or Sacramento or some other out-of-town interest. Yes, a move from Minneapolis is probably as (un)likely as contraction, but the threats will not cease with this new deal, nor will the pressure on city politicians.
