Where Alan ever got the idea that any political party,
not just the DFL, is interested in intentionally
losing any seat simply so that a different party, many
of whom have very different ideas on governance
issues, can have representation is hard to fathom.
Democracy means voting for people who are like minded
and hoping that they are successful. If Alan would
like to have a candidate of his to win a seat on the
school board, he's just going to have to work for it
like everyone else. There are no "gimme's" in politics
in Minneapolis.
