Walking back from lunch today I noticed an interesting police activity
in front of the Target office building on the mall:

The transit cops (3 of them) were stopping bicyclist riding up the
mall.  Now, I know we have this stupid city ordinance that says they
can't do that.  Its right up there with the ordinance CM Schiff can't
rent a room in their house because that would be to many people whom
the city considers "unrelated".  Maybe one of the cops should
have been tagging the unmarked squad for being illegally parked on the
sidewalk.

Reminds me of a few years back when the park cops were running radar on
the Lake Harriet bike path.

Now, how many police departments do we really need in this town?
