Hi all,

I' guess I disagree with Michael on this in that I think its a good idea
to enfranchise as many folks as possible as soon as we can in their
political life. That's why I was so excited by Rep. Kahn's proposal a
few years back to give twelve year olds the vote!

I'm writing today though to encourage Reps. Davnie and Kahn to do
something about making it so hard for young people to get a picture ID.
My 15 year old daughter tried to get one a few months ago and it was
torture. She needed two forms of ID despite having her birth certificate
and the person who file that certificate with her she was refused until
she could produce a second form if ID. If you are trying to get an ID
from the State it should be at least as easy as voting, but it's not.
