I suspect they are covered for the time being under that pesky "First
Amendment to the Constitution" clause.  I seem to recall someone who lived
on Marshall Avenue in NE who had a gigantic 10X10 sign on the front of their
house for many years that listed their complaints with the local political
scene.  Now, of course, they can just subscribe to this list. :-)

Changing direction a bit, and not trying to cause trouble but...

What about the people who have the "Say No to War on Iraq" lawn signs? Are
they bound by the take-down-in-10-days rule? Or, since it's not really an
election sign, can they keep it up as long as they wish? Does that mean
people can put "cause-oriented" lawn signs out for as long as they want?
