I agree with Dean Carlson. All the campaign signs that were in my yard have
been down for a while, but I do still have my Clean Energy Now! sign out
front. That will stay in place until Xcel Energy gets to work on renovating
their Riverside plant to run on natural gas instead of coal.

Speaking of which, the Clean Energy Now! coalition is sponsoring a People's
Forum regarding the Metro Emissions Reduction Project on Tuesday, November
19th.

Here are the details:

-----

Clean Energy Now! People's Forum
Topics: Xcel Energy's Metro Emissions Reduction Project (MERP), and your
other environmental concerns!

Logan Park Community Center
690 13th Avenue NE, MPLS
Broadway at Monroe Street NE

6:30 PM refreshments
7:00 PM forum begins

Take the opportunity to discuss your neighborhood's environmental concerns
with your new and old elected officials. This is the day to let them know
what are:

YOUR and YOUR neighborhood's environmental priorities!

Why should MERP be a top priority for us, and elected officials, to act on
now?

After weighing in health risks, what will converting from coal burning to
natural gas, as proposed in MERP, save our families and our environment?

So if you care about getting cleaner energy and cleaner air, I sure hope to
see you there.

In the meantime, I'll be thinking about what kind of sign I'm going to put
up for the Twins. Maybe a "Congratulations, Torii!" sign since he was
awarded his second Gold Glove today.
