No, no, no, the proposed war is against IRAQ, not Saudi Arabia. Look, I like most everyone here was a witness in one way or another to the atrocities of 9/11. Iraq has nothing to do with that. Letting 9/11 be exploited to justify this nonsense in Iraq is the atrocity. Yeah, yeah, anyone who challenges your belief system is a terrorist, a communist and a traitor: please, spare me. On the other hand, your comments regarding the Mall of America are worth worrying about. The Mall is mere seconds away from the MSP runways: it wouldn't take a full-fledged hijacking to create the nightmare scenario you describe. A well-timed rush-the-cabin-and-wrench-the-stick assault would be all that's necessary, with no time for heroic passengers to intervene. And let's not even discuss the current speculative fad: shoulder-launched stinger missiles from the wooded ravine east of the airport. I've been working with the FBI Infragard program for the past year, and I can't claim to have a lot of confidence that the Minneapolis St. Paul First Responders are ready for these not-too-unlikely situations. What plans are in place to deal with a catastrophe on this scale? Bob Alberti Some lost little nook between Cooper, Longfellow and Seward that gets no respect and less funding. _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
