I would be happy to argue whether roundabouts or ellipse abouts are a needed, useful or desirable addition to my neighborhood but Tom Johnson, the Project Manager of the 35W Access Project has already stated his doubts about whether the ellipse-about is still in the plans.
Given the projected budget deficit, I doubt a fancy frill like the ellipse-about with landscaping and fountains on top will make it past the sharpened pencils at the legislature. ...and speaking of budgets....how much is the city going to have to kick in for the Project's "mitigation"?
