The union printer thing is one of the many on the list of pc things one
has to do to run as a DFL'er and perhaps that is what is wrong with the
party. Focus on the politically correct rather than on the real issues.
I'm really disappointed that the Moore camp keeps banging on this issue
in an effort to discredit Samuels. This issue has taken up far too many
posts already.

[TB] I seem to recall when part of the deal to get a city subsidy for
some of the development projects in and near downtown there was a
requirement that the projects would employ union labor.

Now we have city owned parking ramps where there has been some
picketing involving attempts to get union recognition or the employees
of the contractor who manages the city owned facilities.

We also have some city owned theatres where on of the employee groups
voted for union recognition last fall, nearly half a year has passed
and they still don't have a contract but the theatre found time to fire
the primary union organizer.

So I am starting to ask juinfluenceh influeance do the unions have over
at City Hall? Do the city employee unions have a differeinfluencef
influeance than some of the other unions?
