You know what?  The election is over, it's done, it will not be run again until 2005.  Get used to it.  Mr. Samuels, whether you supported him or not, is still your Council Member.  He is stepping into a situation most of us cannot understand and would rather not do.  It is difficult enough being a new Council Member, but to become one where the Ward has had limited representation for a long period of time is not one to be envied.  Forget what has happened, start with a new slate and give the man a chance to prove what he can do.  If he's successful and he does a good job then reward him with another term.  If he doesn't do what you expect, then support someone else.  But for now, give him a chance and let's quit all the e-mails on this list about whether you agree or disagree with his election.
