Just so everyone knows, we're moving to 1115 Hennepin Ave., probably in
June.

Our publisher, Janis Hall, will comment on the business reasons if she
wishes. As for the editorial implications...

We publish two papers now - Southwest Journal and Skyway News. Unless we
want to split our operation (we don't), we'll always "not be" in one of our
coverage areas.

We are very well-grounded in Southwest; the publisher, president and editor
live in Southwest (and will continue to do so), and so do a couple of
reporters. We have 12 years of history here. Our staff attends every
neighborhood group meeting and will continue to do so regularly. Being on
3225 Lyndale is great, but for heaven's sake, we're a stone's throw (well
maybe a Torii Hunter stone's throw) away from SWJ territory.

Right now, though, we neither live or work in Downtown. We've put out a darn
good Skyway News in the 18 months since we've owned it, but I do think we
need to get more familiar with that coverage territory, which is why I'm
seriously excited about moving into Skyway's coverage area.

We moved into our current, now-lamented offices when our coverage area
expanded. With the acquisition of Skyway, the coverage area has again, so we
are moving again.

I don't think our coverage of Fulton slipped when we moved to Lyndale, and I
don't think our coverage of Southwest will when we move to 1115 Hennepin.

I predict we'll continue to give Steve Brandt a good run for his money -
though he's very hard to catch, literally as well as competitively!!
