I can only speak from what I have seen in my small area of town. Families have been moving out of Mpls for larger homes and/or yards. Singles and couples have been moving in. This very thing has happened to several of the homes around me, two of them more than once. One time I was glad she moved her kid out, she was too much of a snob for me (personal note). I'm somewhat saddened by the loss of children in my area, but its still a great neighborhood to live in. I am quite curious if my neighbors that moved really found what they thought they would find by moving since most admitted the neighborhood was nice and they regretted moving but felt a 'need' to do so for the kids. Strib's take: 4,000 fewer people in 2002 than in 2000 - the 10th biggest dip in the nation. Local officials dispute it. http://www.startribune.com/stories/1507/3980002.html TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.) ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
